In 2016, I began making small works in watercolor and ink on 2.125″ x 3.25″ blocks for Art-o-mat®. Art-o-mat® machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art. There are over 100 active machines in various locations throughout the country. I have been installed at the following locations: The Smithsonian Museum (Washington, D.C.); Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (Winston-Salem, NC); Meow Wolf (Santa Fe, NM); Eiteljorg Museum (Indianapolis, IN); Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento, CA); Rock City Gardens (Lookout Mountain, GA); VSA Colorado/Access G+allery (Denver, CO); The Vision Gallery (Chandler, AZ); The Sporting District (San Antonio, TX); Old No. 77 Hotel and Chandlery (New Orleans, LA); 88 Restaurant (Buchanan, WV) to name a few. Below are samples of each series created to date.
